The second room turned out to be a study, with some shelves and a desk with various books scattered on it. While I did get some good hits in, the party was far to powerful for 4 mere goblins, and slew them relatively quickly. The other two grabbed crossbows and began to fire shots. Inside the room were 4 goblin gardeners, which reacted surprisingly fast, 2 attacking Aldo, dealing him a brutal cut. Worried that creatures would come out of one door, while dealing with the other, half the party held back watching one door, while Aldo and Milbee opened a door. One door was locked, while the other Aldo discovered had rustling on the other side. Realizing it would take weeks to pour over the extensive volume, Milbee suggested the party moved on.Ĭautiously creeping down a flight of steps, the party ventured deeper into the citadel, following a hallway to two side by side doors. The party proceeded to joke that perhaps Milbee was this lost wizard, and asked how old he was :). When the cult lost power Amansur disappeared, and his spellbook was lost. The Front of the book was labeled “The Spellbook of Amansur.”Īfter a quick knowledge history check, Noble remembered Amansur was a powerful necromancer with the Death’s Head Cult. With a loud click the book popped open, and Milbee flipped through. This was a riddle I tried to make myself, not terribly tough to solve, but hey riddles aren’t a talent of mine :).īefore anyone could stop him, Noble sliced his finger, dribbling several drops of blood into the mouth. In a croaking, deep, voice it uttered, “Give tribute, the liquid of life, a few drops will do, then I shall reveal my secrets.” The skull’s mouth then remained open. Uttering the magical words, the skull’s mouth creaked open with a hiss. After taking a little time to examine it, Milbee and Noble found the correct words of power. The mysterious book was locked shut, with no apparent keyholes. It creates a temporary place for you to store your files whilst you navigate to where they need to be dropped. A more modern example is the use of Base64 encoding to embed image data directly in HTML source code. Historically it has been used to encode binary data in email messages where the email server might modify line-endings. Did you know you can embed the image data directly into the HTML without linking to the external image file? Data URLs let you do this, and they use Base64 encoded text to embed files inline. You must have included an image in your HTML document using the tag. Hopefully it should be clear by the end of this post.) Why Base64? (If that last paragraph totally went over your head, don't worry. So 24 bits, or 3 bytes, can be represented using four 6-bit Base64 digits. There are 8 bits in a byte, and the closest common multiple of 8 and 6 is 24. Every Base64 digit represents 6 bits of data. The Base64 AlphabetĪs there are only 64 characters available to encode into, we can represent them using only 6 bits, because 2^6 = 64. In its essence, Base64 encoding uses a specific, reduced set of characters to encode binary data, to prevent against data corruption. We are only changing the representation of the data, i.e. Given Base64 encoded data, it's very easy to convert it back (decode) to the original text. It's important to remember that we are not encrypting the text here. For instance, uuencode uses uppercase letters, digits, and many punctuation characters, but no lowercase. Here's what the text "Ruby on Rails" looks like when Base64 encoded: UnVieSBvbiBSYWlscw=. The earliest instances of this type of encoding were created for dial-up communication between systems running the same OS, for example, uuencode for UNIX and BinHex for the TRS-80 (later adapted for the Macintosh), and could therefore make more assumptions about what characters were safe to use. Other variations share this property but differ in the symbols chosen for the last two values an example is UTF-7. For example, MIME's Base64 implementation uses A–Z, a–z, and 0–9 for the first 62 values. This combination leaves the data unlikely to be modified in transit through information systems, such as email, that were traditionally not 8-bit clean. The general strategy is to choose 64 characters that are common to most encodings and that are also printable. The particular set of 64 characters chosen to represent the 64-digit values for the base varies between implementations. This encoding causes an overhead of 33–37% (33% by the encoding itself up to 4% more by the inserted line breaks). This is required because SMTP – in its original form – was designed to transport 7-bit ASCII characters only. Base64 is particularly prevalent on the World Wide Web where one of its uses is the ability to embed image files or other binary assets inside textual assets such as HTML and CSS files.īase64 is also widely used for sending e-mail attachments. In computer programming, Base64 is a group of binary-to-text encoding schemes that represent binary data (more specifically, a sequence of 8-bit bytes) in sequences of 24 bits that can be represented by four 6-bit Base64 digits.Ĭommon to all binary-to-text encoding schemes, Base64 is designed to carry data stored in binary formats across channels that only reliably support text content. Throughout the anime, various figures of high and low stature, all of whom share unusual troubles and heavy burdens, are “invited” into Eden Hall and treated to Sasakura’s fine drinks, which lead the customers to reflect on their lives and decide on a course of action to deal with their problems, with guidance from the young barman. Normal people, it is said, cannot simply find and enter Eden Hall, but must be invited in by the host. On October 30, 2018, Apple quietly eliminated two color options (rose gold and the original gold) and added a new color option (new gold) to match the MacBook Air's 2018 color scheme. It also features faster storage and memory. It featured the second-generation butterfly keyboard, which introduced new symbols for the control and option keys. On June 5, 2017, Apple updated the MacBook with Intel Kaby Lake m3, i5, and i7 processors (previously known as m3, m5, and m7). On April 19, 2016, Apple updated the MacBook with Skylake Core M processors, Intel HD 515 graphics, faster memory, longer battery life, faster storage and a new rose gold finish. It was made of recyclable materials such as aluminum and glass, meets Energy Star 6.1 standards, and was rated EPEAT Gold. The display was made of arsenic-free glass. The MacBook did not include any beryllium, BFRs, or PVCs in its construction. The battery was improved in the 2016 refresh, with Apple claiming ten hours for Internet browsing, and eleven hours of iTunes movie playback. Apple claimed nine hours of Internet browsing or ten hours of iTunes movie playback. It uses a new 39.7 watt-hour lithium-polymer terraced battery cell which was advertised to provide "all day" battery life. The battery was custom-designed to fill the available space in the small enclosure. The aluminum enclosure was 13.1 mm at its thickest point at the hinge end. A similar technology (3D Touch) is also used in the Apple Watch and introduced with the iPhone 6S. The trackpad was later brought to the Magic Trackpad 2 and the 2015 MacBook Pro. It also introduced the Force Touch trackpad, a solid-state trackpad that measures pressure sensitivity, and replicates a click with haptic feedback. The keyboard's backlight no longer consisted of a row of LEDs and a light guide panel, but instead used a single LED for each key. The MacBook introduced a new Butterfly keyboard, with traditional scissor mechanism keys replaced with a new, Apple-designed butterfly mechanism, making the keyboard thinner and, as Apple claims, individual keys more stable. ĭespite its small size, it features a full-sized keyboard and a large trackpad. Shortly after the MacBook's introduction, various companies began announcing cables and adapters for the USB-C port. Thunderbolt devices, such as storage media and the Apple Thunderbolt Display, are not compatible. It was one of only two Macs, along with the 2012 Mac Pro, to not support Thunderbolt since it was introduced to Macs in 2011. Although Thunderbolt 3 technology uses USB-C connectors, the MacBook's USB-C port does not support Thunderbolt. Apple markets an adapter that can provide a full-size USB connector, and a "Digital AV Multiport Adapter" with a charging pass-through, full-size USB port, and HDMI output. The port supports transmission speeds of up to 5 Gbit/s, and can be used for data, and audio/video output, and charging it was the first MacBook without MagSafe charging. The MacBook has only two ports, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a single, multi-purpose USB-C port it was the first Mac with USB-C. USB-C on MacBook This article is part of a series on the The MacBook has at times been available in space gray, silver, and gold finishes. It had a similar appearance to the MacBook Air, but was thinner and lighter, offered (at the time of introduction) more storage and memory and a higher-resolution 2304×1440 Retina display, but lower processor and graphics performance. It employed Intel's Broadwell Core M processors at a TDP of around 4.5 watts to allow for a fanless design and a logic board that is much smaller than in previous MacBooks. The MacBook was announced at an Apple special event on March 9, 2015, and was released a month later on April 10. It was released in 2015, revised in 2017, and discontinued in July 2019, a year after the release of the MacBook Air with Retina display. It only had a single USB-C port, used for both power and data, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. It was more compact than any other notebook in the MacBook family at the time and included a Retina display, fanless design, and a Butterfly keyboard with lower key travel. The 12-inch MacBook (also called the Retina MacBook, officially marketed as the new MacBook) is a discontinued Mac laptop made by Apple Inc., which sat between the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro in Apple's laptop lineup. I tore out that Railroad last year during the covid-19 pandemic and have been building a new one and I'm using 18 gauge feeders just because I was given Five 100 foot rolls of the 18 gauge stranded wire by my sister. only trouble I ever had was the Railroad wasn't big enough. I never had any power shorts or power drops and that's running 4 to 6 DCC-Sound equipped steam engines at the same time with lighted cars and 2 DCC sound cars. Well he was right I used about 300 feet more or less of 24 Gauge and followed his instructions attaching them all to my 14 gauge Bus lines. He told me he was an electric engineer and that 24 gauge wire will work fine just follow this rule on wiring lengths and you shouldn't have any problems it worked on my Pike.ġ2 inch or less from Main bus to track rails use one piece of 24 gauge feeder for every 3ft section of track isolating each 3 foot section.Ġver 36 inch from feeder to track to double each wire solder them together to make one fat wire and Isolated section each section.ģ6 inch to 72 inch use 3 pieces of the 24 gauge to every two lengths of flex or about 6 feet and try to keep your track power length to 6 foot or less and you shouldn't have any problems. 20A is getting into welding territory on light metals.Ī few years ago about 6 in fact I attended the "Worlds Greatest Train Show" in Northern Virginia and met a Guy with one of the HO Module Clubs that was on displayed so I went up and asked a guy working on one of the Modules and I asked him the same question. Lol, and my power supply is pushing 20A with 5A inline fuses, "just in case". If anything fails in short-circuit protection and/or a big motor stalls, you have a melt at best, and a fire at worst.ġ8 gauge minimum for up to three feet feeders IMHO, but then I use a 10 gauge bus and 12 or 14 gauge feeders. Wire as light as 24 gauge isn’t usually shown on wire current capacity charts because it’s way too light for most things. Well below what you are going to be running in my view with boosters. You mentioned this was two wire solid, so single strand, so maximum 3.5 Amps, and you're not really supposed to go above 60%. IEEE says 24 gauge stranded is MAX 2.1 A in confined spaces, and then, per the table in the first response in this thread, that depends on how many strands are involved - more strands, less current. Most Digitrax power supplies will deliver 3A -5A. Wire is the cheapest part of your layout. Delta Force: Black Hawk Down Official multiplayer was a huge draw at the time, with up to 50 players at once but sadly now feels constricted. Graphics are naturally dated but the soundtrack is atmospheric and the gun play is tight and responsive. Action is tight and tense but never really becomes as gripping as similar titles like COD or Medal of Honour. A little different from other Delta Force titles, the game features more close combats and set pieces with a fairly linear plot. I also believe that If you CRACK OPEN a vault by surrounding it completely, gargoyles will start to spawn in which messes up the quest targeting thing a little bit (I didn't plan on winning, so I hacked my way through them, but really you get no in-game bonus opening vaults, especially since the corners don't bloom meadows. Essentially the best advice would be to only place meadows around the spider dens, and the up/down/left/right of the vaults. There's definitely a balance in how much to lay down since it fills the boss meter. They're just a forced pick, and I wouldn't grab them if I had a choice to take only 1 top row card. I wouldn't drop more than 1-2 of your grove's early game, then leave the rest in hand. The villages will restore your life, and your gear will scale really well without killing you, because, again, you're manipulating the encounters to be easier. (you can move gear in your little inventory by swapping their spots, so perhaps consider saving your high evade% stuff until the very end if you have other stats better made for enemies)Ī big part of this build is you get TONS of legendary loot by killing vampires, ghosts, chests/mimics, and the champions. Enough said, evade is great for the endgame, but not necessarily as helpful everywhere else since you can net positive hp on almost every spider and slime fight. this can work well if you have 4hp per second with 1 hp and level 3 equipment, but will quickly become obsolete after going up further loops.Įvading damage on the final boss saves you 150HP per hit. Earlygame RestoreLife per second>Vampire, however late game Vampire>Restore Life per second, since the % restore scales faster than the flat rates going up to like 6hp per second when stacked.Įven though lifesteal isn't as good early game, I believe if you can have even just 1% lifesteal in the early game with say a ring, it will basically mean you get the full 1 hp per hit for free since it's the minimum per hit. If you can manage to get a good counter setup, you'll be draining a-lot more life by double tapping every mob. I strongly recommend a build ultimately focusing on lifesteal, evasion, and counter. Just stick them on a useless section of your layout, and you'll win eventually. That is literally the only reason I choose them, and I only actually reccomend using like 2 of them to help the early game loot-curve when you're still trying to get the ghost/spider/treasure/vampire & slime encounters going. The grove rat-wolves are easier to kill in champion-mode then skeletons. did you know that a ghost->Bunch of Ghosts in a ball-> Lazorbeam ghost? Did you know that every transition of a ghost can drop cards, and the later stages can drop some insanely rare loot? Yeah ghosts are great, and they really aren't very scary at all. Ghosts will usually only take 1-2 hits in all forms if you don't miss, and drop great loot. I found spider nests usually actually net me positive hp with my lifesteal builds, and the ghosts aren't that hard. Place your ghosts on intersections with bucks of spiders nests. they'll keep coming back, and the vampires aren't that hard alone. Place your vampires as early as you can, targeting locations that will ONLY HAVE SLIMES on them. What's the big advantage of Towns? They give you 5% health back ANYWHERE ON THE BOARD in exchange for exchange for giving you a BETTER LOOT and fairly enhanced monster.īasically you want as many meadows and mountains as you can before you fight the final boss, but also don't want to wait so long that you have to fight him with less than full health, and without good gear, so I manipulated it all, and by having lowered the card count to 8, we are more likely to essentially get free stat upgrades, AND better loot. You're basically setting up all of the variables to work in your favor. vampires, ghosts/chest/mimic, spiders, grove.Grove, Town (AMAZING since it heals you and only will buff a slime or spider.Put your meadows around other buildings/objects when you can.If you farm up enough to buy all the buildings, it's really not that bad. I ended my run with level 7-8 orange gear, and 3 abilities. I was 1 hit from death when I won, so I easily could have lost, but this was my favorite setup without upgrading the buildings. The way that I won, was as below, (although I made it to the boss on my very first run and got slaughtered) so you definitely can get lucky. This is going to be messy, if enough people think this is helpful I might clean it up. |
